Multi-agent handoffs

How investigations continue cleanly across agents, sessions and people.

Real investigations rarely finish in one sitting. Mike Trace is designed so they don’t have to.

One active agent at a time

Mike Trace keeps track of who is actively investigating a case. That prevents two agents from driving the same investigation at once and overwriting each other’s progress.

Leaving a handoff

When an agent stops, it leaves a handoff: a short summary of where things stand and what should happen next. The next agent, or a teammate, starts from that handoff instead of a blank page.

Evidence stays with the case

Everything an agent gathers belongs to the case, not to the agent. You can switch agents, mix tools or bring in a colleague without moving or re-collecting anything.

People stay in the loop

Agents can propose fixes and document recovery steps, but decisions about risky changes stay with the people responsible for them. Mike Trace records those decisions; it never executes changes itself.
